bird which can't fly

Kiwi is a bird which living in New Zealand. This bird can’t fly and have only partial wings which makes them so interesting. Kiwi isn’t too big it’s 40-70 cm long and is gray-brown, plumage consists of a soft, loose feathers. It is characterized by:
stocky physique, no tail
long flexible beak,
relatively short but strong legs with four fingers,
short, thick neck,
highly developed hearing and smell.
and the fact that females are 20% larger than males.
Kiwi live mainly in forests. They lead solitary, nocturnal, hiding during the day. They eat insects, among other things. Nimbly run, defend the claws. The female lays 1-2 eggs which the male incubates. Interestingly, the egg is up to 450 g and is the largest egg in relation to the size of the female.

  1. I really like birds, kiwi here is a very good example of a really nice and cute bird. The only birds I hate are pigeons that spend their life to make my balcony dirty! :)
