RAVEN- INVENTOR

For many years scientists have sought an answer to the question whether the ability to create inventions by animals depends on the speed of learning, whether from their exceptional talents. Dr. Alex Taylor, a scientist from New Zealand - for many years observed the behavior of ravens. Carried out some experiments and check whether the ravens can connect elements previously acquired knowledge to solve a new problem
At first, let the birds learn to eat from the hole pick out short stick. In a small hole in the tree, researchers placed the delicacy.
After this the food was so deep that the ravens couldn’t reach him to pick his beak or a short stick suspended on a string. After several attempts, the birds pay attention to another prop - box in which lay a long twig. Next to the box were hanging ,on a string, a short stick. Birds learned to take out long twig by short stick. By manipulating it, could finally pick tidbit tucked away in a hole. Birds left, their old experience, developing a new type of behaviour - emphasizes Taylor.
